What a crazy season: Giants first 9-7 team to win the Super Bowl
The Patriots suffered a safety on their first possession and the Giants Victory Cruz finds the end-zone for an end-zone dance there after and the Giants find themselves with a nine nothing lead.
The Patriots came out of the gate a little flat but they were able to build some momentum and put together a 14 play scoring drive to end the second quarter and go into halftime with a 10-9 lead.
The Giants got lucky today, (but you have to be good to get lucky) as they fumbled the ball twice. Hakeem Nicks fumbled the ball but the play was nullified as the Pats had 12 men on the field and on the second time Cruz dropped the ball but the Giants were able to recover.
Nicks had a great game offensively grabbing 10 catches for over 100 yard receiving, while
Mario Manningham had five catches for 77 yards, all in the second half.
The Giants defence came up big sacking Brady five times (just like in 2008): Justin Tuck could of been the MVP, he had 2 sacks in this one.
Tom Brady was almost perfect except for the intentional grounding in the end zone for a safety and the interception pass to Rob Gronkowski.
Eli Manning had a perfect game and threaded the needle to Manningham on a 32 yard perfect pass up the sidelines.
I thought Gronkowski was just a shell of the player he could of been today and that hurt the Pats more than he helped them. He probably could of had someone play in his place, he was not effective.
The Pats dropped some passes at the end of the game which they should of brought in.
All in all a great game, it once again comes down to the wire.
