Hockey News: Pacioretty out 3 games

The low-down
I haven't had many good blogging days lately. I apologize to the readers, especially to Terry, Greg and Donny. I have been busy here with school and I had to handle some other business back home. That being my car breaking down and my dog needing surgery but I ran into a good mechanic at Bryan's Auto and they took care of both. Two -for- one special. All this back and forth from Peterborough to Toronto has done a number on my old car. The wheels just couldn't handle it. Apparently, the suspension gave-way. Just for an idea as to what was wrong. I would spin the steering wheel to turn a corner and it sounded like a rhinoceros roaring (ya ever heard one? reeeeeeeoonnnnnn!!!) The wheels felt as tho they were going thru a puddle of cement, just imagine that. I hate to admit it but my first car is breaking down. I got the suspension fixed, so i'm cruising. Who knows how long it will last. Hopefully until spring. I think maybe i'll get a motorcycle next.

Anyways, with all that said, I wanna put that shit behind me and get back to writing this blog.

On a brighter note, I had the opportunity this past saturday night to catch up with my girlfriends parents. Her father is a big Habs fan and so we all gathered round his new high-def/big screen T.V. and watched the Habs take on the Penguins. We had ate some ribs and drank some beer. "I don't know why they ever traded Halak" Nicole said. At that point the Habs had blown a 3-1 lead. Price was on his way to letting in another softy thru his legs to blow a 3-2 lead with five minutes left, sending the game into overtime. Kris Letang would get the eventual game winner. Coming back from an earlier injury. He had to leave the game in the third with a broken nose he received from a violent hit from Max Pacioretty. I was pretty impressed with Nicole, she made some good observations during the game. "Montreal look tired," she said. She was right. Montreal had just played four games in six nights and winning only two of their last five. "I still like Halak".

Back to the Pacioretty hit.
Pacioretty dropped Pittsburgh's Kris Letang with a devastating hit in the trolly tracks. Pacioretty was taking taking the body and Letang was uin a vulnerable spot, electing to take a shot, full well knowing Pacioretty was coming. I used to love these hits and as a player I prayed on guys like Letang making the mistake of lowering their head as they gain the zone. I am not surprised the league handed out a suspension. But I don't think it should of been three games for a first time offender. I do understand that these kind of hits are the exact type of hit that the the NHL are trying to wipe-out. Pacioretty got the book handed at him pretty good.
